Lesson 1 of a new topic focusing on the Black Lives Matter subject, looking in-depth at Civil Rights, Segregation and Persecution of African Americans in History. A great resource for all KS3 students (may be suitable for KS4 students too). I have other resources connected. Suitable for any student around the world, inc British, American and international curriculums. Attached is a great learning resource - very straight forward and easy to use. Can be used for any exam and as a fantastic supplement to whichever textbook you are using. Excellent for PGCE students / NQTs / non-specialists as all the work has been done for you. Use now, or during Black History Month. A full lesson and set of activities (with linked free downloadable sheets) to complete learning into American Civil Rights with the focus on the Jim Crow Laws. This lesson and the topic it is part of looks into helping students understand what is meant by segregation, civil rights, and key people and events in the fight for African American rights; it allows students to understand why the fight is so significant. There are links to websites useful for research and many different types of activities to keep students focused and involved in the lesson. This resource is ready to download and teach as it is, for students of all abilities to work through. It is clear, concise and rated outstanding in the classroom. This is part of a set of resources uploaded focusing on the American Civil Rights campaign. If you have any questions, please contact me at samantha.jones.2104@icloud.com. Thanks
